I havea 1977 johnson 35hp on my 16 ft sylvan...i recently bought a wrecked boat with a 50 hp evinrude 1984 model...i was told they would hook right up but when i got to looking at the wiring it was differnet.....the johnson controls on the boat now have an external key ignition and are the 2 lever set up.....the evinrude controls are beat up pretty bad .....is there a conversion kit to make it possible to use exsisting controls with teh 50 hp evinrude? hopefully this makes sense its late and ive been searching for info all evening....thanks for any help regarding this!!
