1982 Honda bf100 carb adjustment

Any one know a good starting place on this carb I got the motor but the carb was off and dis. I tried to start with 1 and 1/2 turns out on the air screw but cant get it to saty running. after playing with the idle and air screws it will start after about 15 pulls and then die as soon as the choke is turned off. cleaned carb 3 times already, am i missing something.

fhose carbs can be really touchy when it comes to cleaning.ultrasound is the best way but we do'nt all have that luxury.Idle speed is also a critical setting and may require a little trial and error as you dial it in.It snould be around 1200 rpm at idle.Float levels can also kill you and whether or not that inlet needle is seating properly or not.If you are running choked then stall after you likely have a plugged idle circuit.A general health check of this engine is probably the best place to start.Check the compression adjust the valves make sure you have the appropriate plugs.
