Need to order new water pump for my motor. they ask if it is a 15 or 20 inch transom. I have 15" at the outter edge and 20" close to the center. which measurement do I use?

Your engine model number will even give the shaft length.
However to answer your question: Measure from center of engine well down to bottom of boat.
Where are you ordering the w/p kit from ?? There is a difference in the kits due to a tube that goes on top of the water pump hsg. BRP usually includes both of them in a w/p kit.
