New Used Motor

OK I purchased a new used motor the other day a 1988 merc 15HP 2 stroke cylinders both came up with 125lbs. each. Leg oil great very clean all over & well greased. Took it out yesterday Huge difference from my 8 HP Mariner LOL. which did get me up on a plane but it took a bit. This motor rises & jumps rite to a plane in about a 1/4 of the time on my 12' Prince craft. Lifting the bow alot higher & faster then what i.m use to. I'm thinking that i'll purchase one of those StingRay jr. Hydro foils for it to correct the lift in the bow. Question is has any one used this item & what was your expierence with it. Do you think it will fix or make the difference i need?

I put a stingray on my 15hp with a 14' alum. I used it for awhile, planed out faster but just felt it burried the nose more than I wanted. I put in steering and a remote and that worked out better for me.
