I just picked up this motor and to my surprise the coils have been replaced already, but when I do a resistance check on them they have different resistances. They are different brands. Is this a problem. One is about 4.5 k ohms the other is about 7 k ohms or so.

I'd put it together, cinch down the flywheel key, but not torque, and check spark. If you get a 1/4" snappy blue bolt off both leads, you're good, and torque 'er down.

Good luck!

I have found this on a couple motors. They will both spark, I personally try to match them up, but have a stockpile of coils. May just be my imagination, but seems to idle better with matching coils.
