1993 johnson 150 dies at wot

I need help ...... I have 1993 johnson 150 fast strike that idles and runs good up to half throttle once you go wot it dies . just like you turn the key off but it will start right back up and idle good and up to half throttle. New plugs clean carbs thanks for any help.

Get a 6 gal tank and hose and hook directly to the fuel filter inlet on the mtr. This by-passes the boat fuel system. If it works you have boat probs. If not you have mtr probs.

also try pumping the bulb and see if that helps. I would get a brand new fuel line to use with the test tank mentioned by the boob.

I also have a 93 fast strike 150 with similar problem... would die at wot. I had my dad pump the fuel primer bulb as we went to wot several times without flaw. If he stopped pumping, it would die out. I pulled the pump and it would not pass the test outlined in the manual...was leaking air around the pulse inlet (housing). I am ordering a new pump today...hope this helps!
