I have a 2004 90 hp yammie that barrely idles rough on # 1, will not accelerate unless helped with a squirt of petrol. then, when it catches runs perfect at high speed. I noticed the fuel choke device does not work, after tracing wires I see it is also fed from rectifier and from under flywheel. If it is not working could that be my problem? Thanks everyone.

OK, I found out it is an et valve and shouldn't have anything to do with how it runs after it warms up, now. When idling there is good vacuum on # 1 carb, pulling in gas to run, however # 2 doesn't have as much and two fingers over the front will get it firing prety good but on # 3 There isvery little vacuum and it takes three fingers to pull in the gas. All 3 cylinders have 110 PSI so thats good. Could this be a reed valve problem ? Too stiff to open up to pull the fuel in? Again, thanks in advance.

Probably just need to pull and clean carbs real good, idle/pilot jets/passages plugging.
Be sure to clean the prime start enrichment system up also,
Not sure what an et valve is
