I just bought a mercury mark 20. The guy I bought from said it hadn't been run in a while. This is my very first outboard motor. I am going to have someone check it over just to make sure everything is ok. What I need help with is a missing part. I know that the gas system on these are a two line system. It uses the pulse of the motor to pressurize the tank. The hoses connect to a plug that is then inserted into the outboard. I do not have this plug nor do I know the proper name for it so I can try and look for one. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Re: Mercury Mark 20 help

You would be better off to convert the engine to a fuel pump from a doner engine it would be cheaper and your engine will run better, it's a standard way that most dealers use as a fix and the parts can come off any Mark series engine with a fuel pump here's a link for reference you need Items 15 thru 19 and the 3 screws.
