Need WOT rpm and cruising rpms for Volvo aq175a

I recently purchased a '69 20' Fiberform with a Volvo 175a in it. It is not the original engine and came with no manuals. The guy I bought the boat from was selling for a friend and couldn't give me much info.<br /><br />The Volvo shop here has been a little help but they don't see these engines much anymore. <br /><br />I am waiting on some books but if any of you know what this thing should be running at that would be great.

Volvo gives a max rpm as 4800. Usually best to prop them within 200 rpm of max. So somewhere between 4600 and 4800 is best.<br />Your Volvo dealer can order you an engine manual, it's PN is 7740130-5.
