Will Mercury Tilt Trim fit a Chrysler Outboard?

I have a 78 Mercury 115 that is not running and may replace it with an 82 135 Chrysler. I have been told that the Mercury tilt/trim might fit the Chrysler. Is that true? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks!

No,way more problems than you can imagine.
The only thing that will work is probably the switch:)
