I would keep it on the shelf in a bag or something. Did you replace it with the exact same model? If so, you have either something you can steal parts from if/when you need them or if it still kind of worked you have a spare unit you can use in an emergency (ie, you're waiting for your new carb to be fixed because you found a manufacturer defect
).
