looking to order the cooling parts for my motor while I have it out.

went here http://www.iboats.com/Volvo-Penta-I...78547864--session_id.336869838--view_id.42132 to find my impeller, and could not find it in the list......

so I started looking at thermostats.... here http://www.iboats.com/Volvo-Penta-G...8547864--session_id.336869838--view_id.363124

and cant find the part number for a 160 degree thermostat - found the 140F, just not the 160F.

so, if anyone has the correct part numbers for the impeller and a 160 degree thermostat with rubber o-ring as well as the right gasket for my AQ271C, I would appreciate it.

Re: AQ271C cooling system questions

Your link for the impeller kits is for diesel engines only, go to the link for Gas water pump kits for the listing for gas engine impellers.

Volvo only lists the 140? tstat for the 271.

Don, thanks for the information on the impeller - I went down the impeller kit link prior vs water pump kit.

would you have a part number for a 160 degree T-stat. 140 is a bit on the cool side when running in 40 degree water.

Not sure why they have them listed like that, I'm going to see if I can't get it fixed.
I don't have a number for a 160?, because Volvo didn't have one. Take your old tstat to an auto parts store and find one the same size but 160?.

Re: AQ271C cooling system questions

Just remember, the automotive thermostats don't usually last long in raw water cooled engines. They are designed to be run in antifreeze, not lake or salt water.
