I just rebuilt the stator on this motor and have good spark. After trying to start the motor without success, I put a carb kit in it, replaced the float with the new plastic one, and put it back together. Now it will run at slow speed, but dies if I try to run it fast.
There are two small holes above the butterfly hole, one of which squirted gas a few times when pull starting.
The slow speed needle valve seems to have a very slight bend at the end, could that affect high speed operation?
The high speed orifice looks dirty, but it is so small, it looks hard to clean. Is that something that should be replaced periodically?
other ideas??
