Just picked up a Evinrude 110 VRO, engine starts right up and idles fine. Once I start to give it gas it will run for a few minutes then shuts off. If I catch it fast enough and bring the throttle down it will stay runnung some off the time.

Any suggestions of what it may be???

Thanks in advance

Well, since it starts and runs it is getting spark, have you checked the fuel filter? Partially plugged filter means it gets gas, just enough for idle.

When the engine starts to act up, have someone constantly prime the fuel hose bulb. This will force extra fuel into the carbs. If the engine keeps running while you constantly prime that hose bulb-you have a fuel delivery issue. Could be a hose restriction, tank issue, air leak in the lines, weak fuel pump, etc.
