Lower unit seals

I have a 82 model 30 hp mariner and I just changed the seals in the lower unit. I am mechanically inclined but new to outboards. Originally I was getting water in the oil; now that I have changed the seals and the impeller the water is coming out of the prop exhaust and it is not pissing any water! What in the h#ll did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

Remove the lower unit and make sure the water tube is in the pump housing.It's easy to have it cocked to one side and clean the pee hose out with a piece of wire.

Thank you for the help. I am going to take it back down in just a bit and check it out. I'll let you know what I find.
