I'm looking to replace the head gaskets on my 96 250 outboard but I'm not sure what I need as far as gaskets go. The diagrams ive found online are pretty hard to read but from looking at them and the motor itself it appears that I would need 4 gaskets altogether. There is part# 61A-11181-A0-00 gasket cylinder head 1 and then #61A-11193-A0-00 labeled gasket, head cover 1. I'm assuming I need both of these parts but would like to make sure before ordering. If anyone has any tips or things to watch out for when doing this job I'd love to hear them. Thanks

You will need two head gaskets and two water jacket gaskets. You can use snobowl toliet cleaner on the water jackets to remove and salt and same with the head. Just make sure you clean all surfaces good and torque as required
