Hi all, just joined, I am rebuilding a Starcraft Jupiter! I think its a 1963 ? All I have to go on is the serial number. Is this the correct way to determin the year?
Thanks,
Outcaster.

My '66 Jupiter did have a "66" in the serial number but I don't think they were necessarily consistent with that

Re: Correct year ID (Starcraft Jupiter)

Well, the wife and I took the Maden voyage today! Went fishing at Boyd lake, learned a few things about the Outcaster!
Need to upgrade and add batteries, Do a bit of wiring modifications. Also need to check my fuel sending unit to make sure it's not stuck in the down position. Need to redirect the fish finders power supply to the trolling Batt.Rather than the starting power!
The good news! We caught four nice Rainbows, Yum!!!
I also tried to post pics ! But they wound not paste on this thread? Must be user error !

Hey Outcaster - The old Jupiter must work great since you caught some rainbows. :D

To post pics the easy way is open a Photobucket account to store pics. Hover over the pics in the PB album and click on the IMG code and simply paste in your thread. Get back with us if you have problems.

Welcome to the In-Crowd and have fun in the Jupiter.

PS - My 66 Nassau SN starts with 66 like EZ said if that helps.

Welcome aboard Outcaster! Like the others have said, the first 2 numbers are the year, on my '65 and '73 the first two numbers were spaced away from the rest by a little bit. What's your serial number?
