.......... anyhow, a asked the guy in the WEST MARINE and he say that date on the bottle is a date of manufacture and that extinguisher is safe and OK 10 years after the date. On my extinguisher say that is ok 12 years after the date. And he mentioned that some police officers will tell you that date is expiration date - wrong. It's manufacture date! This is for newbies like me!!! Important to know if you don't want to pay ticket if you don't have to.
