the other day after getting the motor all ready to go. i pushed the boat back into the garage just enough to fit. The next morning i went into the garage and heard a humming noise comng frrom behind the boat. I noticed the motor "which is in the down position" was up against a piece of plywood. I moved the boat up a few inches and the humming stopped. Now im not sure how long that was goining on but all i know the key was off no other switches were on.
Is there a sensor or something? Or when the motor press up against an object does the trim and tilt try to move on its own. And have i burnt something up? Any advise will sure help.

Try the trim and everything else and see if it works, there are no sensors. May have been the automatic bilge pump running, and moving the boat shut it off. Battery might be a bit lower, but nothing would burn up.
