Unfortunately I didnt get to tackle my seized bolt issue on the LU because my new carb came in ordered from Tims Outboard, and it wasn't an exact year matchup. I called and told them and he said a 78 25hp carb and 86 25 hp carb should be almost identical..... my year carb runs a 47d orifice plug and this years plug was a 49d... Is this due for worrying, or strap it on there?

I guess theres no high and low speed jet on these two carbs, just one main jet?

Leave it be? or change orifice? or get the right carb all together?

If you can swap the orifices it's worth a try, if that IS the only difference. What about bore size, is it the same, would suspect so.
