50.1 or 100.1?

I've got a 1987 15 hp evinrude-the person I bought it from has been mixing 50.1
A decal on motor says 100.1........
100.1 seems pretty lean but I'm a newbie to boating.
I've had boat out many times and it seems to run o.k. with 50.1 mix but wondering
if it would run that much better with 100.1 mix,by the way this is a great site
everyone has been extremely helpful with questions.

OMC changed the recommendation back to 50/1 . You should remove the decal. Best of luck. Rick.

That mtr will run fine on 100:1, but OMC changed it back to 50:1 for other reasons. Stick with the 50:1 mix.

ditto on all the above....stay at 50:1.

Yea, OMC paid dearly for that 100:1 blunder. I have a 1965 Yachtwin that calls for 50:1. Another big blunder. That motor is supposed to run on 16:1 LOL

But yea, run your 15 on 50:1.
