All,
in doing summerization on my recently purchased boat, I noticed that the hose connected to the starboard side PCV is not connected to the holly 2bbl carb. The port side is connected to the vent near the fire arrestor. Can anyone tell me where this hose should go?
Thanks

What's the full model number of the engine. Volvo doesn't list anything by year.

In the link below, you should have 2 of the connectors (#11) on the flame arrestor. One for hose 14 and one for 21.

Oops, wrong link

Don, although I can see in the diagram that both hoses appear to go to the frame arrestor, I have no 2nd port nor a "T" fitting where the starboard PCV hose could connect to the flame arrestor. On my CJ7 Jeep (I know its not a boat :D) which also has a holley carb, my in-line 6 PCV hose connects to a vaccum port on the baseplate of the carb- can't recall if its ported or manifold though. At any rate, the holley carb on my boat does have the same available port (which is currently capped) on the baseplate and its the same diameter as the hose, and the hose reaches......could that be it?

Just because you have a part missing, doesn't mean it suddenly going to grow automotive fittings on the carb or manifold.

So, you have a PCV hose that is connected to the rocker cover breather but is not connected to the spark arrestor. You need Part #11, it sounds like it is missing, there is one for the other side is there not?? I don't think it will cost you all that much thankfully.
