I went out on a limb to try the "easy" replace the impellar yourself task. It seemed easy enough and I didnt have too much difficulty, other that the new impellar was a bear to get all the way down. I lined everything up right and it was the right impellar, it just fit real tight.

any how, got the lu back on, but in the process I noticed that when I manually turned the prop it made a loud clunking noise. What have I done?!?!

When you put the lower unit back, were you sure it was in neutral And your motor control was in neutral, so it's all synchronized? You can pull it back off and double check it.

The adjustment is out on the shift rod. Try adjusting the 10mm nut and barrel on the shift rod

I have the same clunking noise. What 10mm nut are you talking about adjusting?
