16ft ss what size bilge pump

just like it says what how many gph should i have for a bilge pump? Its 73 16 ft ss. Im getting close to splashday and dont want it to sink.

I think a 500 or 750 with an automatic option will work fine. If your boat is moored alot I would go on the larger side.

i'd go with the biggest pump that will still work with your existing hull outlet. Mayfair (johnson pump) makes a 1000gph that will hook up to a 3/4" fitting, which is probably what you have. i'm assuming that you'll be boating at Lk Whitney or other local lakes, rather than takin her to the Gulf? this will make a difference. for ocean boating, i wouldn't go with less than 1200gph (=20 gal per miinute) for my "large" pump and maybe 600-1000 for the secondary
