yes as I found out it did not work when on the lake and it did work in reverse. I just assume it is a linkage problem but not sure how to get there and adjust it.
I love those little 9.5's! I had a '69 Johnson and a '70 evinrude. Do you have experience removing lower units? Was there lower unit oil in the motor or did you check?
