Exhaust tube instead of exhaust bellow

I've read there are short rubber tubes that clamp onto the transom plate instead of the flexible rubber bellows. They seem to last longer than bellows. Anyone try one of these? Are there any benefits or downsides to it? My exhaust bellow is cracked a little bit anyways... So I'm looking at options. Like one of these:

Thanks,

Ayuh,.... That's doable on a Merc,... I don't know so on a Volvo....

I haven't seen one for Volvos. Merc exhaust bellows are much more difficult to change, so they came out with the tube.

Best time to do the exhaust bellows, is when the upper is removed for maintenance.

There are no tubes for your style of drive. Volvo does have a tube for the hi-performance transom shields in the SX version, but not in the pre SX type of drives.

This may sound cheap but could I just find some rubber tubing the same diameter as the bellow and cut it short.

Doubt it, look at your bellows with drive down, then with it pulled up.
Same for full left and right.

How would a short tube of rubber bend that much?
