Hello All!

Fist off, thanks to all for making such a great forum. Learning from each other is awesome :)

Ok, here is the rub. The Tach works fine (turning @ ~4800 WOT) but the fuel/ speedo quit working. I don't care too much about the speed as GPS takes care of that, but the fuel is an issue! If there is an easy fix/test, that would be great, but was thinking to just replace the unit for a dedicated fuel gauge? The gauge lights up, but does not display anything.

Oh... and it is a 91 Yamaha 150 O/B

Thank you all in advance!!!

ok, is the gauge just all grey with no symbol or anything at all, just pure grey with NO black on the field? Did you get the boat like this or did this happen to you? Both at once or did the fuel and speed go down one at a time? If gauge is just grey, then it's dead. You can easily install a fuel gauge and put a new sender in tank(cheap and easy). You can do the same for speed, with a pittot tube that mounts on bottom of transom or a paddle wheel type(you can probably get a paddlewheel transducer for you fishfinder also. These are things you could do yourself in one afternoon. Faria and Teleflex make cheap, good gauges and Yamaha does also have analog gauges.

Display is all gray, no reading at all. I like the idea of the new gauge/ sender....taking a look at that now! Thanks for the reply!
