For some reason the guy that was working in my engine some months ago got the throttle messed up. When I pull the throttle back the boat goes forward when it should go in reverse and vice versa. Any suggestions on doing this myself. Whats needed to fix this right the first time.

What engine and drive do you have, need full model numbers because year of the boat isn't always the year of the engine and drive.
Was the helm control replaced? Cables replaced? Drive replaced? Have you changed props?
