Anyone have an idea of what model digital tachometer this is and what motors it will fit? The only numbers on the back are 618.

Re: Digital Tach Identification

Well, not sure, but i think it will fit on most yamaha engines. I have a similar one with my Yamaha 90HP (2-Stroke), the only difference in the tach is that the oil indicators in mine are not coloured. Mine has 3 DIP switches on the back, following the indications that came with my engine, Switch #1 sets the trim type ON 2 lead, OFF 3 lead. Switch #2 sets the generator type, ON 6 Pole, OFF 12 Pole. Switch #3 sets ON for 4-Stroke and OFF for 2-Stroke.
Hope this answer is useful.

Re: Digital Tach Identification

This will only work on engines PRIOR to '08....there is an adapter available from Yamaha, can't remember for sure but thinks it it for older engines to newer('08 up)tachs, not for newer engines to older tachs...but you can call dealer to make sure....know it won't work as is as described.
OOPS....meant to say '05 instead of '08. '05 changed the tachs....you have the 2nd generation tach...
