1967 9.5 retainer seal, part number 310766 how to install

hey guys,
I have a 1967 9.5 evinrude sportwin,
I took my powerhead off the lower unit since I had to replace the exhaust housing gasket, and in doing so the retainer seal popped off and now I dont know how to re-install it.
could you help me out.

im trying to figure it out but im having a hard time.

Retainer seal??? Please explain. Do you mean the retainer for the water tube? The push nut goes on the tube, the washer below the push nut, then the o-ring on top. The whole thing sits in the indentation in the exhaust housing. The push nut keeps the water tube from pulling out of the washer.
