Can anyone identify my ski boat?

I have just bought my first ski boat but I do not know what it is. It is 16ft long by 78inches, has a Rover V8 which is not original.

Here are some pictures.

I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me what it is.

I think it may be a Delta or a Century CTS or Tournament Skier from the early 1980's

Thanks

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,...

Around here, that's a runabout, not a Ski boat....

No idea what it is though, must be an Auzzie hull....

Just because I haven't got into a good debate with Bond-o in a while I will say I would call that a ski boat. In fact I'd call it a tournament boat. Anything with a direct drive inboard and a ski pylon in front of the engine and from say 16 -22 ft. I'd call a ski boat.

And then there's Don, who I would agree with, not many Rovers around here. Common there?

And then one more thing . . . Welcome to iboats mate!! :)

I believe the Rover V8 was originally a small buick V8.

that looks like a ripoff of a old moomba hull.

the cap has been modified, and the windsheild is just non production.

Delta's were built by Ray Wright Marine. Usually powered with Ford Kent xflows (1.6) or the Essex V4 (2.0)and V6 (3.0), the 5.7 sbc was also an option.
