Well, I got 'er done. I went through the lower unit and re-sealed it, installed a new waterpump and put new coils in. I gave it a few pulls and it sputtered. So I figure it should start, as soon as I put it in the barrel. It's amazing how good of condition this motor was, when I tore everything down. A low hours engine, by golly.
