5.7 vortex ?

I am looking at a 2001 212 Mariah with a new Mercruiser crate engine. The seller tells me it is a 5.7 vortex with throttle body injection. How can I tell?

a TB will have a wiring harness going to the injectors, a carb wont.

It did have a wireing harness. What would the HP be?

And it's a "Vortec" not a "Vortex". Yup - just trying to straighten out this common terminology problem.
