I currently have a 2000 Optimax 225hp, having an issue with plugs fouling and rough idle. Yesterday when I was out the motor did not want to idle, kept cutting off. It had just been serviced, new spark plugs, filters changed. The one thing that concerns me is the compression check came back with numbers around 80psi. All cylinders came back close so the mechanic said it wasn't a big issue, just wear from being a 12 year old motor. I am new to boating and have no idea what I could do to help the issue, is there anything which is not a huge fix to check?
