I bought a Turning Point Legacy prop for my mercruiser last year(14.25 X 21) and since the rake is greater than my other prop, i thought i would just file the trim tab for clearance. I took enough off for about 1/4" of clearance and now i cant get the boat control back to where it used to be. It was smooth either way with the old prop, and now it wants to pull hard right at speeds above trolling speed. I have tried to adjust it both ways with no effects. Did i take too much off, or is it the prop? Im going to get the anode that is set back further to try, but just want some opinions in the meantime since the boat isn't being used now. worst case i'll go back to my old prop.
