can you use full synthetic oil in the 16:1 motors?( cd 13/14 in this case) if so, how noticible would the reduction in smoke and oil discharge from the exhaust be , over using just the cheap wal-mart ob oils?

Oil discharge will be the same. But it will dissipate faster and is claimed to be bio-degradeable. It will smoke less but will still smoke some. Hey, that smoke means at least that much oil burned and didn't go out the exhaust.

i dont mind the smoke, its not overly bad, and it does help keep the flies under control. is there any benifit to the engine by using synthetic, or is the basic ob motor oil just as good or better for the oldies?

Synthetics make less carbon, smoke and smell. They also pollute a lot less and cost more.

if theres no benefit to the internals of the powerhead, i think i will just stick with basic mixing oil over the synthetics.
