I have a 1996 40hp Force outboard that has a white/ foamy oil substance coming out of the lower sparkplug area. Have I blown a cylinder? Is it worth fixing and what's the average cost to do so.
Sounds like water is getting into that cylinder. I would do a compression check. Maybe as simple as a head gasket or could be exhaust cover gasket. Head gasket is about $20. Exhaust plate gaskets (two of them) about $5 apiece.
