I am in the process of rebuilding the carbs on my 1984 50 hp merc. It has two Walbro carbs installed. Does anyone know the purpose of the Fuel Bowl Baffle? It is item 7 on the attached diagram. In cleaning the parts, the little tab that holds the baffle in place broke off. I'm able to reinstall the baffle and keep it in place, but not very securely. I would like to replace the baffle, but on the sites I have checked, the part is no longer available. If the part is not properly seated, what kind of problems should I expect. Any input/help/suggestions would be appreciated.
