Fuel consumption on Yamaha 225 4-stroke

I was curious, does anyone know what the fuel consumption is on a Yamaha 225 4-stroke on lets say a 31 foot open fish contender running at cruise. I have had conflicting reports, does anyone know the truth. Thanks

Going to assume that you mean twin 225's, cause one won't push a 31' Contender.. Also depends on which 31' Contender..<br /><br />Let's say a 31' Contender openfish... I'd say thats going to be about a 1.5 mile per gallon boat, at cruise speed...

Hey thanks. That sounds more realistic. I was told better then 2 miles to the gallon. For the set up your talking about. Twin engines.
