hello first of all i want ot say how much this site has been helpful with boat motor and such in the past great website. i recently purchased a 1977 mariner for cheap but needs work the spark plugs arent firing i removed the flywheel to take a look at the stator and one of the coils is burned up the wires are melted can this be why the power packs arent sending any fire to the spark plug or is it the power packs them selfs. the guy the wires are burned pretty bad and trying to save a little money and not just be buying up all kind of unnessecary parts thanks
