I hope someone can help. I have a 1977 Thompson Voyager 259, (title says 23ft-measures at 24') that has two 4 cylinder Volvo Penta engines. I can't find information anywhere about this thing! One marine parts supplier told me that I "just think there are two engines, that there is really just one"...I apologize for being new to this and having to ask for help, but there really are two Pentas, and I have searched every term I can think of and still come up empty. If anyone has an ideas, please let me know.

Just google the name of the boat and a lot will come up. Go to fiberglassics.com and I'm sure you'll find more.

Welcome to Iboats Lauren,

I must admit I'm a little bit confused about your post. Did you want more info about your boat or the engines in general? For the engines, look on either side of them for a plate that has Volvo Penta on it (should look like this View attachment 128813) . It will have a model number and serial number. If the engines are original, they would most likely be coupled to 200 series drives (most likely a 270 or 280).

If you can, take pictures, and post them to this site. Most of us good eye, and can give you some idea's about what you have.

Thanks for the link, Blane, but the OP hasn't responded to his thread, or any other thread since he posted this back in January. Odds are, he's moved on.

Welcome to iboats. Browse around there's lots going on around these parts.
