You might not have to replace any parts.Check the coils its very commonto have to replace original coils check for cracks and discoloration.Replacement number here at iboats is 18-5181.Some like to replace the points and condenser.Tuneup kits 18-5002 for 56-58 7.5 is available here You'll have to do some research to see if it fits your 54.You could pose the question here in this thread as well.
A source of info is at www.aomci.org I don't think you have to be a member to post for help.
Impellers and twin hose gas line are available at iboats as well.

Coils are about $20 each, Impellers are usually $10-$15, Tune up kits are usually about $20, gear lube is usually about $7 a qt., carb kits are usually about $20-$25 too. You can usually replace all of the consumable parts on these old gems for under $100. iboats has virtually everything dating back to about 1955 for most models, but yours is a 54 so it may be on the cusp. Check aomci.org per the previous post for more info, but I'm sure someone will come along with one of these that can help you with some of the specifics.

you fill from the bottom fill plug ....large slotted screw ( do not remove the phillips head screw!!!!!!) and fill until it drips out the upper slotted screw. the motor has to be vertical.

A '54, will use the same exact parts as a '55, as far as tune up and carb kits go. They're virtually identical motors. The ''56 and newer have a later style midsection and shrouding, but tune up and carb kits should still be the same. Same with impellers. The same impeller was used all to way up to a '79 6hp The ignition componenets are the same from 1951, till the mid '70's as well, so consumable parts on your Fleetwin should be easily obtainable anywhere OMC parts are sold.

You're gonna love that little Fleetwin. They're nice motors. I just tuned mine up and it runs awesome.
