Mfg. date of 70's era 115 hp johnson "Power Shift II"

This motor is on a 81 Baja. It was stolen from me & recovered in 1984. Now that I need a lower unit, I've discovered that the thieves removed all s/n tags off my mtr. I have found a number on the base of the clamp casting (starboard side). MI 10.22.73 Could this be it? Please help.

There should be a quarter size plug on the top of the engine somewhere with the serial and model number on it unless they got that too.
