5hp mariner year of make?

Hi, trying to find information on this motor is very hard. the serial number is: OD990014 and below that on the id plate is the number: 394 The faded out decals say 5hp. I'm trying to find out it's age and replacement decals. Seems hopeless. Thanks.....Robert
