Does this kit come with trim wipers? If you have purchased this kit pls let me know...thank you.

Also, the manual says I need a trim sleeve remover. omc 325065. Can't I improvise?

I ordered the Sierra equivalent (18-2585), and it came with 2 wipers. I had to improvise a couple of tools to get the job done. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Note: the idea for the adjustable spanner I got here on iboats forums. Wish that I could give credit to the person that originally posted it, but don't remember.

Drill bits kept breaking so I tried 1/4 hardened bolts. I put a cheater on a 15 inch cresent and this worked really well for a homemade spanner. Thanks again for the tip.

No problem. What you did with the bolts works better. You don't have to hold the bits in place.

Did TILT ORING and WIPER not come with your kit?????

I did trims and I do not see the tilt stuff in the kit.

ALSO, looking at the diagram how do I know if I need #54 (SHOWA) or #43 (Prestolite)?

No, that kit covers the trim cylinders only. You'll have to order the tilt wiper and 3 o-rings separately. The Showa appears to have an additional o-ring, washer and nut at the bottom of the piston rod. I wish that I could tell you where to find a marking on the outside to distinguish the two, but I didn't see one when I worked on mine, which turned out to be a Prestolite.
