Opinions on Lowrance X67c please!

My girlfriend bought me a new Lowrance fishfinder for Christmas.. Model X67c Compact Color Fishfinder, Im an avid crappie fisherman and do most of my fishing in shallow water creeks feeding the Ohio River, ranging in depth from Just 18 inches to 13 feet although in the future I plan on getting into fishing bigger water perhaps some lakes and reservoirs! Ive always fished on sight of brush,stumps and gut feeling and done fairly well but have always wondered if one of these will help put more fish in my boat! My concern is that Ive noticed some negative reviews, I know nothing about these things, and also I notice that Bass Pro has stopped selling this particular model... :facepalm:


Do any of you or have any of you had good / bad luck with this model or a like one?
Any feedback and or opinions are greatly appreciated!
