Just was in the garage and noticed my 1991 Mercury outboard 40 hp has oil under it. It is leakin from a small rectangular hole on the boat side of the motor. It is directly in line with the screw for gear case oil. There is alo a tiny round hole next to it but dont belive it is coming from it. Before i have it checked was wondering if any one had any ideas for me! It is blab oil not milky oil. Thanks!

Yeah probably unburnt fuel, I would let it sit overnight and open the lower oil drain screw (open the top one first to relieve any pressure) and if your gearcase has any water in it, the water will be the first to come out, might help to trim it out about 45 degrees. If you have water in the gearcase, time for a reseal. Always a good idea to pull your prop and check for fishing line from time to time.
