I have a 1987 16ft fish and ski. I am tired of hauling gas tanks in and out of the boat. Wondering if anybody knows the clearance under the floor to fit a permanent fuel tank?
I can't help you with measurements since my boat is an older boat, and has a shallower V.
BUT, the problem you will run into is the perpendicular stringer system in these boats. An under floor tank needs to be short, in a V, but can only be about 24" long. Nobody makes those. Underfloor tanks that 'might' fit, are much longer made for boats with a fore/aft stringer setup.
FWIW a built in tank would be possible if you either
A) built a rear fishing deck, and installed a tank under it, or
B) installed a long, tall, narrow tank that fits under the splash well (but may run out of room for the battery)
