Hey guys,<br />while having my engine rebuilt due to hydrolock (ouch!!) I found a used 2004 alpha 1 outdrive for a very nice price. My alpha is a 1998 and working fine but with a fresh engine I thought a great deal would make up for my rebuild. Concerned with drive ratio etc. both engines put out 220 hp. <br />thanks alot for any help,<br />Dale

Should be the Same Drive,.......

as long as the upper drive ratio's are the same, its a bolt in.

V-8 up to 300 HP 1.47:1 (old 1.50) 20-22 teeth

Inline 6 & some smaller
V-8's Used in twin application 1.62:1 (old 1.65) 24-24 teeth

V-6 & Mercury Marine 4 cyl.
(470, 485, 190, 3.7 liter) 1.81:1 (old 1.84) 17-19 teeth

GM 4 cyl. (120, 140, 3.0 liter) 1.94:1 (old 1.98) 20-24 teeth
