Hi shaun. Welcome to iboats. You should start by looking for a Hull ID number (HIN). It's usually on the right upper corner of the transom. However, if your boat was built outside the US and/or before the 1970's it may be harder to track down (looks like a British dory set up, which you don't see a lot of here in the states for some reason). There were literally hundreds of small, regional, boat manufacturers back in the day. Check out fiberglassics.com too. They're a great source of old brochures and catalogs for old boats. Congrats on the new toy. Keep us posted.

That is a very popular and common brand boat - they're called Project Boats. Probably thousands are sold every year.

But seriously, it looks like a 50's-60's work boat, possibly homemade, or from Britain ;)

looks like the cabin may have been added to a common hull, maybe a Sea Craft by the point. Does it have a foam-filled floor, or a bilge?

Most likely a harbor work boat. or harbour.

hello im not sure what i should be doing, im thinking because the back of the boat fiberglass is cracked bubbled and warped , should i replace the transom with a 18mm peice of marine ply , should i cut around the back of the boat 2inches all around, place the ply cut the same as the boat size, then fiberglass around the ply to restore the shell of the boat plus building a stronger transom than before the ply in there before was 5inch x 48inchx18mm ply basicly just a plank, how would anyof you lot do it???

Hi shaun. We can't see your pics. Use the "Go Advanced" button in the bottom right corner of the reply box, then just attach the pics as you would in an email.

Re: can anyone tell what boat this is?

i was going to cut the transom out and leave a 3inch gap around the edges , ive chose to sand it and repair it its slightly duller after sanding it yesterday upload new pics tonight but strugling to get it clean, thinking wipeing it with acetone, would this help? also the peice of wood in the transome was just a plank of marine ply no bigger than 5inch x 48inch iwas thinking making the new one near to the same size as back of the boat would this give any structural defects ? also many questions i know but where do the stringers go down the keel lines ? of around i didnt take them out so not got a clue?
